• Device Information: We may collect device identifiers and operating system information for app functionality and troubleshooting.

• Your Chapter: Your chapter administrators can view your study hours, progress toward requirements, and check-in history.

Location Data

Important: GreekHours uses your device's location services to verify study sessions. Here's how:

When We Collect Location

• At Check-In: When you start a study session, we verify you are at an approved study location
• During Active Sessions: While your study session is active and the app is open, we periodically check your location to ensure you remain at the approved location
• At Check-Out: When you end your session, we record your final location

Active Session Location Tracking

GreekHours monitors your location only during active study sessions while the app is in use. This is necessary to:

• Verify you remain at an approved study location throughout your session
• Automatically end your session if you leave the approved area (with a 2-minute grace period)
• Ensure accurate tracking of study hours for your chapter's academic requirements

Location is never tracked when you don't have an active session or when the app is closed. You have full control over when sessions start and end.

How Location Data Is Used

• Location data is used solely to verify study sessions at approved locations
• Your chapter administrators can see which approved location you studied at
• Precise GPS coordinates are not shared with administrators—only the location name
• You can review your location history in your study session logs

Your Control Over Location

• You can end your study session at any time, which stops all location tracking
• You can revoke location permissions in your device settings at any time
• The app will not function for session tracking without location permissions, but you can still view your history and profile

Data Retention

We retain your study hours data for the duration of your membership in your chapter. Account information is retained until you request deletion or your account is deactivated.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Export your study hours data
